Q:
What's the difference between a "cure" and an "enhancement"?
A:
A cure is used to balance energy and to compensate for poor design,
a structural challenge or a "missing" area. An enhancement
is used to boost or activate the energy in a particular area.
Q:
I am considering buying a new home that is situated near an electrical
power pole. Should I be concerned?
A:
In a word, yes! Power poles/lines can send harsh, unfavorable
energy into a home and can create various problems and obstacles
over time. It's important to deflect any negative Ch'i through the
use of fencing, landscaping, and/or the use of a traditional Ba
Gua mirror. You didn't mention how close your house stands in relation
to the power pole/lines. For your own piece of mind and future safety,
I would also recommend having an EMF reading taken of the property
internally and externally.
Q:
I've heard that it's "bad Feng Shui" to have your bed
positioned under an overhead beam. Why is this?
A:
As you may or may not know, there is a lot of symbolism attached
with Feng Shui. With this in mind, laying beneath a heavy beam represents
added weight and stress "hanging over you". (Definitely
not good Feng Shui.) Likewise, a beam that runs the length of the
bed and, specifically, right down the center, is thought to split
up (or divide) a couple over time. My advice? Avoid having anything
heavy over you while you sleep, eat, read or work...you'll feel
better.
Q:
How can I receive the best results from my Feng Shui?
A:
Great question. It all depends on how much you want to "embrace"
the process. I use Feng Shui in thought and practice. This includes:
1. Getting rid of all your physical clutter. (Which is instrumental
in unblocking stagnant Ch'i.)
2. Doing a thorough house cleaning. (Include all the areas you don't
normally get to.)
3. Conducting your own space clearing.
4. Start implementing Feng Shui in the appropriate area(s). Remember,
every time you place an enhancement reflect on what your true intention
and desire is. Avoid making too many changes at once and/or what
I call "unconscious" changes [moving things around without
clarity of purpose].
Q:
How long does it take for a normal Feng Shui enhancement to work?
A:
The purpose of using an enhancement is to activate the surrounding
Ch'i. Generally speaking you can expect to see a change or shift
within a month which represents the full cycle of the moon. If time
passes and nothing happens, remove the original enhancement and
try something else.
